Folding doors versus folding walls

When furnishing or renovating a home, office, or commercial space, folding doors and folding walls are often considered as stylish and functional solutions for space division. Although these terms are sometimes used interchangeably, there are clear differences between folding doors and folding walls. The difference lies mainly in their design, functionality, and how they are used.

Folding doors, also known as accordion or concertina doors, are perfect for domestic environments where flexibility and space-saving are important. Folding doors are often used as interior doors or as room dividers within homes.

Folding walls are often used in commercial spaces to create flexible living areas. They are more suited for temporarily dividing larger spaces or transforming an open area into multiple enclosed spaces. Folding walls function more as flexible partitions than as doors.

Both options offer stylish and practical ways to divide spaces, but the choice between a folding door and a folding wall depends on the specific application, the size of the opening, and the desired functionality.
